Fav Location: My home trails here in the Scottish Borders and the never ending single tracks in Les Arcs, France.

Passion for the sport:  I have been racing mountain bikes for 22 years and for the last two years i have been teaching both Pro and Amateur riders the tricks of the trade. Mountain Biking is everything to me, it makes me who i am.

Most memorable session:   1994 was a great year, i raced the World Championships in Vail, Colorado and stood on the podium at every dual slalom competition in the UK. I started to race my current specialist discipline Marathon Downhill in 2006 and had great success and fond memories in my first season of racing head to head in this insane discipline.

Ambitions for the future:    This seasons' goals include a top result at the Mountain of Hell in the French Alps and i'm looking for podium positions in the National Short Course Championships and Kona Mash Up events here in the UK. I am also looking forward to writing my second book on mountain biking skills and technique and the release of my first book on the subject.

Compete or Freeride:  Having raced for so long i can't not compete, although i do love to ride for fun and enjoying time on the bike is a key thing for me.

I have just completed my first book for A&C Black (Bloomsbury Group) on mountain biking and had a trail ride feature in both Mountain Biking UK (MBUK) and top French magazine Velo Vert, last year i put a lot of time into filming sections for the latest movie ResetFilms-Find. The movie is due for release later this year, in the meantime i'm working with my team mates on the Syncros-Endurance race team filming for another ResetFilms production covering our Seven Deadly Spins project (7DS).
