Dakine offer full warranty back up to two years from the date of purchase. 

Return product to point of purchase with receipt.

Slingshot Warranty

If you have a problem with a Slingshot product, the first port of call should be your Slingshot dealer. Our dealers are an integral part of our warranty procedure. Not only for your or our convenience, but the way U.K. consumer law is based (on contract law), your sale contract is with the dealer.

He may well already be aware of issues that might have arisen to cause problems dealt with by the warranty. We are here at Surf Sales, to back him up, and are in turn supported by Slingshots International Warranty system.

With the exception of the bladder, any failure of the kite, board or control system by reason of defective manufacture is guaranteed by a return to shop policy and replace or repair free of charge.

The dealer will inspect the problem, and very often is in a position to give a decision on the spot on our behalf. If there is some doubt, or it is a new issue that we may not already be aware of, the item may need to be returned here for inspection, to do this, we need a goods return form and number, to avoid the product becoming delayed in our system.

We deal with tens of thousands of items, and are a relatively small company. We have no wish to deprive you of time on the water, so please help us to help you, by using the system.

Sending goods direct to us, without first checking with a dealer, will very likely result in them being overlooked and possibly lost. Help us to keep as efficient as possible with your claim - use the Dealer and the system - its there to help you.

Spy Warranty

What is covered under our Goggle warranty

  • Lens fogging on double layer lenses
  • Fogging between lenses is due to a delamination of the gasket material
  • Mirror coating rubs off of the lens
  • The mirror rubbing off is covered under warranty, as long as there have been no chemicals used on the lens
  • Any scratching of the lens needs to be closely examined for the cause to determine if itt is caused by manufacturing defect or misuse by the customer. A booklet inserted into each box provides warranty details and lens cleaning instructions
  • Frame discoloration
  • As long as no chemicals have been used to cause the discoloration, we will replace the frame under warranty but not the lens
  • Paint peeling off the frame is replaceable under warranty

Foam/Broken straps

  • If the clips on the strap are broken or the foam is defective, they cannot be replaced. We will replace the entire goggle under warranty
  • Normal wear on the strap will not be covered under warranty; however the strap may be replaced for a nominal fee depending on the model

What is covered under our Sunglass warranty

  • Hinges that have broken due to normal wear
  • A broken arm at the hinge is covered under warranty (Unless they were broken due to negligence-sitting or stepping on the frame)
  • Arms that are broken in the middle are not covered under warranty
  • Nosepieces that have come apart due to normal wear
  • Nosepieces are not replaceable. A broken nosepiece is covered under warranty. (Unless it was torn off by fault of the wearer)
  • There is no way to replace the nosepiece. So this is not covered under our repair plan. The entire frame must be replaced
  • Screens falling out of the scoops
  • The screens are not designed to fall out but can be replaced under our repair program

What is NOT covered by our warranty

  • Lenses are not covered under our warranty policy, but there is a nominal fee for the replacement of lenses
  • Paint peeling due to normal wear and tear
  • If the lenses have been changed on any painted frames, this will void the warranty
  • Paint peeling cannot be repaired; the frame must be replaced under warranty
  • Paint discoloring is covered under warranty if there have been no chemicals used to clean the frame
  • Arms folding in too far and scratching the lenses
  • This is covered under warranty as long as no pressure has been put on the glasses, such as sitting on them to cause them damage
  • Frames warping
  • Frames with a warping problem can be repaired
  • We do not replace glasses that are warped, but we can reshape the glassed under our repair plan

Please note that the Customer Service department will make the final decision concerning the validity of each warranty.
